"Expanding Your Future" GED Information Session
Information Session marketed to the public about opportunities to get GED as well as ESL instruction.
Trident Literacy Association is pleased to partner with Lowcountry Youth Services during the 2021-2025 fiscal years as a provider of instruction to adults age 17 and up who do not have a high school credential and/or immigrants who need to learn English.
The subjects taught in this program include basic literacy, all subjects in preparation for the GED, Career Readiness, English as a Second Language, Career Pathways and digital, financial literacy, and Family Literacy, using the College and Career Ready, standards-driven curriculum. This program is geared to work with students to identify, continue and achieve their academic and career goals, including enrolling in college or additional training programs to earn nationally-recognized certificates that lead to jobs, apprenticeship opportunities, entering the military or the workforce.
This collaboration with Trident Literacy Association and Lowcountry Youth Services commits to helping adults reverse the cycle and impact of generational poverty and illiteracy in Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester Counties, consistent with the mission of Trident Literacy Association and the requirements of WIOA.
